The Jardin Conservatoire des Plantes Tinctoriales de Lauris is a botanical garden, unique in Europe. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Durance valley.
Unique in Europe, the conservatory garden is dedicated to plants from which dyes are extracted for dyeing, cosmetics and food. An educational and bucolic tour to discover dye plants.
A pathway laid out along 50 thematic squares allows visitors to discover more than 300 varieties of plants with dyeing powers traditionally cultivated in Europe and on all continents. The botanical gardener in charge of the garden has been a passionate fan since the beginning.
Perched on the terraces of the Château de Lauris (dating from the 18th century, listed as a Historic Monument) and overlooking the Durance Valley, these terraced gardens have been awarded the label "Jardin Remarquable".
