From 1 July to 15 September, when the risk of forest fires is higher, access to the forests of the Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse can be dangerous. Learn about the regulations governing hiking in these mountains.
Access conditions in the mountains of the Luberon Regional Natural Park and the Monts de Vaucluse are regulated by prefectural orders.
Respect the restrictions on access during periods of risk (wind, drought...)
access to the massifs is forbidden, at any time and for everyone.
access is strongly discouraged and may be authorised from 5am to 12pm on certain sites. Some sites may be open from 5am until 8pm, depending on the prefect's decision and the weather conditions of the day.
As an exception, access to certain sites is authorised from 5am to 8pm. These are the Colorado Provençal site in Rustrel, the Aiguebrun Valley in Buoux and the Cédraie du Petit Luberon in Bonnieux and Lacoste.
